'Hi'She's such a stereotype – but I think it's a joke.
Sometimes I think I catch her smiling
When the other kids mutter about goths and emos.
Not a real smile, just a twitch
Like she's hiding. But why
Why, I don't know because she's brave.
She's not scared of stares
The way I am. So why hide?
Her silence is so loud there's no point.
And her words, when they come – beware!
Everyone's afraid of her. To my shame
I am too, but she makes me brave.
My heart thumps for a million reasons
In a million ways when I see her.
She stares at me, guarded, and I say,
'Hi.'

SheShadows eyes and blackens hair,
Fiercely throws the world a dare
To find the secret behind her stare.

Shuns the world and shuns her class,
Watches them through ice cold glass,
But, behind her eyes, she laughs.

The girl who walks aloneLet them think they know me
Me, the girl who walks alone
In black like every misunderstood
Self-pitying loner. Let them think so.
Let them hear me laugh
And talk all on my own
Like a crazy person, and let them
Run away when the barbed
Words they fling miss their mark
Or fall short or I catch them
And throw them back.
Let them think they know
All about me, and to fear me.
Because what they think
Is nothing – they don't know me.
Not at all and I stand
At a distance, and I laugh
And I laugh
And nobody can touch me.

Shadows

He hides in shadows, even when seen.
Layer upon layer they shelter him.
Peel back his hood but still they're there,
Clinging beneath the bonewhite brow,
As though to spare the object of his gaze
The sorrow he doesn't know what to do with.

It's been a little while... But not for the reason you think. I haven't forgotton about this - far from it, I've kinda decided to make this story my official piece for my Yr 12 art final, which means I've been putting so much work in that I haven't had time to upload. I'm in chapter 4 at the mo, and I'm aiming to get 6 chapters by the time it's due.

Anyhoo! I decided to upload this one in case anybody was missing me (wishful thinking I'm sure) and to say 'dw, it's coming! it's coming!' Hopefully it will be super awesome when I bind it all into a book and such.

Do I have any commentary on this page? (Shut up, I know...) Well, so now we know why she's a lonely wacko. She wants to be! Yahoo.
I'm kind of pleased with my illegible speech bubbles - they're like the opposite of the ones without a border, in that they're somehow important but you can't actually hear what anybody's saying.

Also, the people around must be talking loudly.
