Given 2013-02-02

The suggester states, "The Bright Side: Prologue p3 by ~dragongirlhellfire is one of my favorite comics! The author is still in high school & the story has real soul to it. Absolutely brilliant" While reading the first part, I can't help but adore the story & how it flows, even with a simple drawing style, the artist was able to convey such emotions into the characters. Wow; I almost don't know what to say. This is just... mesmerizing. You don't typically see The Grim Reaper portrayed as being so kind and gentle, which I think is a great change, because you're absolutely right- death isn't necessarily a bad thing. It may be hard for those left behind to cope with it at first, but I don't think anyone would truly want to live forever. I think your portrayal of Death really emphasises the reassurance that, hey, it's perfectly okay to die. And the metaphor you used about death being like moving is just absolutely brilliant.

I just checked out the rest of the series, and by the final comic, I felt my eyes begin to swell a bit. This is truly a humbling piece; I really am glad that it got a DD. You truly deserve it.

Aww, who knew the reaper could be so good with kids? Nice metaphor too: I've never thought of death like moving before, but I like the idea. I might use it if I ever have to explain something like that to a child.
